One of the primary tasks that students must complete is to design and then convert a gasoline vehicle to electric. Other than the requirements of the specifications and rules provided by event organizers, students are free to design their vehicles in a manner they feel will make them the most competitive. The following links are to www sites that may assist students in the design of their vehicles.  In addition vendors who are able to supply materials necessary for the construction are also listed.

Building your own EV can be a very rewarding and challenging experience. Not only will you be a pioneer in the EV movement but you will also be helping the environment by recycling a polluting car that otherwise would continue to spoil the earth's resources.
